Diversity in the workplace
Saskatchewan is seeing increasingly diverse population growth largely due to labour market demands. In this one-hour webinar, employers will gain an understanding of cultural diversity in the workplace. We will explore our cultural identity, with an illustration of culture as an iceberg. We look at elements of culture that help and hinder our understanding of each other in the workplace.
Participants will explore concepts such as four layers of diversity, cultural norms, newcomer challenges and culture shock. We will provide strategies on how to respond to differences and what employers can do to make their workplace inclusive for all.
